Arigato gozaimasu or domo arigato?

im just wondering they both mean thank you very much right so what is the difference.

they both mean thank you
but the difference is that usually ppl use arigato, but adding gozaimasu makes it more polite
and adding domo in front of it makes it very/a lot
u can also say domo arigato gozaimasu which means thank u very much to older ppl

yes either one or domo arigato gozaimasu, is very formal very friendly you may just say Domo respon to someones Domo....with Hi

ございます just is a more formal way of saying thank you.
