astronomy class in university?

i may take an astronomy class in college.

what kind of things will i learn? will it be mostly concepts or will it be like applied math?

help please

i know calculus well.

the astronomy class is 102. so its lower level

    Astronomy for non-science majors will be mostly concepts.

    Astronomy for science majors will have a lot of math. You should know calculus before you take this class.

    These two classes differ from each other greatly.

    Most of them require some math, but not more than algebra and a little trig. It's mostly things like how the Earth, Sun, and stars move, the seasons, facts about the planets, stars, and galaxies.
