Yes overclocking can ruin your processor if done wrong, no you should not try it unless you know what you're doing or have done you're research. Stop now, buy a better heatsink, go read up on overclocking, and try again.

hey is anyone know how to overclock intel e5700?
i had overclock this cpu with AI overclocking in overclock profile for 10 %, i tried the 20 % and the windows is failure to boot.
so i want to overclock manually. please tell me what the configuration. and one more question, is overclocking can affect to the cpu or motherboard lifespan?
