Because you have a wife who is capable of working and providing for the family. If you were single this would not be the case. Unless of course you were getting child support. By the way, if you did not want to live in poverty then why did you get SS? There are other avenues like vocational rehabilitation, work training, etc.
I didn't suggest she should get a job, but physically she is capable of working after she has the child. Also, technically speaking, pregnancy is not a disability that prevents one from working. Lots of pregnant women work. My sister in law worked for sometime when she was pregnant. Please don't use you knocking her up as an excuse. Oh, and if you are so poor then why you knocking her up? Having a baby is not cheap dude!
As for NOT knowing English, that's a lack of Education. She needs to go to a community college and learn English. ABE/ESL classes are only 50 dollars a quarter. She needs to learn like we all did. Not knowing English is no Excuse.
The ID thing is on you. Go down to the Id place and get her some ID. If you cannot do that then she's obviously not here legally and you need to get her paperwork in order and that's on you man. You obviously did not fill out the right forms and whatnot.
With VR, they do pay for things. You are wrong about VR. They may not give you a monthly income, but of course .. they are not SS. They are not there to do that. Nevertheless, they do pay for training and other things. They are not there for nothing. What do you think they do, nothing whatsoever??????
