Enlistment Oath Speech in the Military?

I know I go to MEPS, do the speech but what I don't know is if I speak in front of everyone else and we all take turns, or if we all say it at once. And if we have to remember the whole thing, or if they say it five words at a time for us to remember it like how weddings vows are, you know? Please help & thanks!

depends. normally its en masse but arrangements can be made ahead of time to swear in alone.

DH, for instance, got permission to be the Officer who took his son's Oath.

the Officer will say the first few lines, and you repeat back. as a group.

They tell you to repeat after them (4 or 5 words at a time). Otherwise, it will vary on who you are sworn in with, ie if you are by yourself or with others.

    Source(s): Went through it.
