Question about Steam?
Quick question about Steam. If I get a game from Gamestop and install it on a computer, will it go into my steam library? Will it act the same as if I downloaded it from Steam?

That will depend.
All games can be added into the Steam library. However only certain retail versions of a game will be activated through Steam. Check the following link to see which codes will work with Steam:

If your game's product key does not match any of the product key formats, then it will not be activated through Steam. You can still add this game to your library (as a non-Steam game), but it will not be managed by Steam. In other words, Steam will only add a shortcut to your game.
