    No.

The man behind the May 21 and October 21, 2011 prophecies, Harold Camping has already been incorrect once and, therefore, is a false prophet. If he had lived in Old Testament times, he would have been stoned to death for making an incorrect prophecy. No responsible Christian leader supports his "new prophecy" http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2...

+ The End of the World +

"But of that day or hour, no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be watchful! Be alert! You do not know when the time will come." (Mark 13:32-33)

Jesus told us in no uncertain terms that we were not to know when the end of the world would come but that we were always to be ready.

Each new Christian denomination seems to worry about the end of the world a bit too much. Then after a couple of centuries, they realize that there are always wars and rumors of wars, etc.

I won't even mention the hundreds of false predictions of the end of the world over the centuries, all of which were based on individual interpretations of biblical prophecies.

The first century Christian Church thought that Jesus was going to return at any moment. Only after a couple of centuries did the Church realize that it may be 2,000 or 4,000 or 8,000 years before Jesus returns.

The Catholic Church wisely follows Jesus' advice and teaches that each of us should live as if we will meet our maker in the next ten minutes and that we need to work to make the world a better place for our 100 X great-grandchildren.

Do not worry about the end of the world. Trust God to make sure everything happens to plan. Just be ready to meet God at any time.

The Bible specifically says that no one knows when the end will come. It also says there will be many false prophets.

    Some points:

Matthew 24:36 However, no one knows the day or hour when these things will happen, not even the angels in heaven or the Son himself. Only the Father knows.

Mark 13:32 No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Acts 1:7 He said to them: "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority.

Matthew 24:33 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

2 Peter 2:1 But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them--bringing swift destruction on themselves.

2 Tim 4:3 For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.

If you're a bible believing Christian as Mr. Camping believes himself to be, then he would possibly have referred to Matthew 24:36 which regardless what translation you read says, 'only the Father knows the day and the hour.'

Matthew 24:42 says 'keep watching because you don't know when the Lord is coming back.'

If what the bible says is true, then only the Father knows when Jesus Christ will return. Reading Matthew 24, we find that we can look for signs such as wars and rumors of wars, pestilence (disease on epidemic proportions), and earthquakes.

Too, the bible refers to the revelation of an anti-Christ--a deceiver who will rise up and claim that he is God. Has this happened as of yet?

Based on what the bible says, how can Mr. Camping be right? Jeremiah 29:8 'don't be deceived by those living among you who claim they can predict the future.'

    Andres,

I think youhave the information incorrect.... May 21st is the 1st day of Judgment Day ( five month or 153 day period of time). May 21st is the Day when the LORD separates the wheat from the tares, the sheep from the goats, the redeemed from the unsaved.

The end of the world will occur on October 21st 2011.

Guess what? Today is May 22nd! A rapture free day is expected until God tells us so! Come on, only God knows when he will place Judgement day. Harold Camping is nothing more than an old, radical Christian man who is greedy and scammed hundreds, if not thousands, of people out of their money, houses, possessions, and especially lives!

    Source(s): Common sense!

No. I slept through the WHOLE night without hearing BOOMS and ZOMBIES moaning and groaning.

So nope. It is not real. Not even 2012 is the end. No one knows when the end is coming but the Lord and his son.
