French question: En, à or au?
In this sentence:
Catherine Ringer est née le à Suresnes au/en/à France le 18 décembre 1957.
Would I use au, en or à?

En, because France is a feminine word in French, all the countries in French ended in e are feminine, Allemagne, Italie etc and we say EN, with the others we say AU or AUX, aux états unis, au Canada, au Panama (with islands it is a bit more complicated as we also used à like towns)

"Au" is really just a shortened version of "à" + "le."
