Hey, It's lucky I saw this question because I've just gotten rid of my ear wax (well most of it, I can hear slightly)
Okay, what you need to do firstly is soften the wax, buy a bulb ear syringe (you can buy them from pharmacies for very cheap) and place olive oil into the bottle. Place the bottle into a bowl of water that has been heated by a kettle. Once the olive oil is warm, lay down on the floor with the ear you're using facing the ceiling. Place the olive oil into your ear and massage just in front of your ear for about 2 minutes, then, leave the olive oil in for another 15 minutes. Never use ear candles as they don't actually work, they just 'look' like they work, and NEVER use anything like baking soda as this dries the inside of your ear and causes itching.
If the wax hasn't softened after 3 days, it's time to go down to a shopping store and buy something called "Earex advance" - it's a bottle containing drops into your ear and what it does it dissolves the wax, you can tell it's dissolving because you can feel crackling inside your ear. I got mine from Tesco's, and it's not expensive at all. This should clear the wax up within the next few days because it really cleared my wax up, and I was told I had quite a big dry plug of it (I know, ew)
But anyway, if it doesn't clear up even though it should, the wax will be very soft so phone up your doctors and ask for a nurse to syringe your ear. All they do is put a water jet near your ear to withdraw the wax, it doesn't hurt, it feels just like putting your shower head next to your ear. If you have any pain use paracetamol and put a hot water bottle on year ear :)
