k

∫ (2kx - x^2)dx = 18

0

....................k

(kx^2 - x^3/3) | = 18

....................0

k(k^2) - k^3/3 - (k(0^2) - 0^3/3) = 18

k^3 - k^3/3 - 0 - 0 = 18

2k^3/3 = 18

k^3 = 27

k = 3 or k = two imaginary numbers that can be discarded, leaving just

k = 3
