I enjoy reading Perry Mason although he is not one of my favourite detectives. I like watching re-runs of the original television series too.

The rather formulistic nature of the stories (they all follow the same kind of pattern, with some last minute evidence being produced in court) makes them a comfortable read although I would have some problems reading too many on the trot! They are very much "books of the age"

When you've finished Perry Mason, you might like to try the "Nero Wolfe" stories by Rex Stout
