What's the Tribeca Film Festival?
What is it? There's a movie playing there I'd like to see. :D Where is it held, and for how long is it going on? Do movies playing there eventually get shown in theatres, or put on DVD?
[THIS IS A REPOST OF AN OLDER QUESTION I FOUND USING THE SEARCH ENGINE, BUT THE ANSWERS DIDN'T REALLY ANSWER ANYTHING, SO I'M POSTING SOMEONE ELSE'S QUESTION AGAIN]
The LAST question is the most important.
Please provide sources if ya can, thanks!

The Tribeca Film Festival is a film festival founded in 2002 by Jane Rosenthal, Robert De Niro and Craig Hatkoff in a response to the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the consequent loss of vitality in the TriBeCa neighborhood in Manhattan.
The mission of the festival is "to enable the international film community and the general public to experience the power of film by redefining the film festival experience." The Tribeca Film Festival was founded to celebrate New York City as a major filmmaking center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan.
It's held at a variety of venues throughout Lower Manhattan, mostly in TriBeCa and Chelsea. The tenth Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 20- May 1, 2011, so that would be right now.
Some do, and some don't. It depends on whether they get a distributor.
If you can't get to the festival itself, you may be able to watch some of the films online at http://www.tribecafilm.com/news-features/news/Watc...Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tribeca_film_festival... http://www.tribecafilm.com/festival/
