Early Years - Learning Theories?

I'm currently trying to write an essay titled: How does learning occur? An early years perspective....

...however I have NO idea how (or which) learning theories effect young children.

Our essay has to include either behaviourism and/or cognitivism and at least one other theory (constructivism for example)

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.
