Which is better, Kaspersky or Norton?
I just had kaspersky anti-virus software delivered to my house from a magazine i subscribed for but I already have Norton 2011 which runs very well and I never have any problems with it and my pc runs very fast. Im using windows 7
So which is it, Kaspersky or Norton?

Stick with Norton, it's a consistently good antivirus.
Kaspersky is used at my work (I'm in the IT department, but not responsible for that decision...), and it is constantly choking the network bandwidth with its never-ending updates, and hogging RAM memory with its scans. Kaspersky is thorough, I'll give it that, but I don't understand why it has to download so much in order to be as effective as other less bandwidth-hungry solutions. Frankly it's embarrasing having to explain to users why it took them three minutes to open an Excel file.

The latest reviews knock Kaspersky for being slow. The latest reviews say that Norton has fixed their problems and the new Norton is fast and doesn't slow your computer down. Thats a change from the past where that was the main complaint about Norton. Both are pretty good at catching the bugs.
hope this helps

since norton has copied kaspersky's approach buy having a rescue on the disc or downloads - i'd say norton - kis is a hog unless you have over 4 gigs of ram
me i still use kis 2011 but i have a good comp . the extra second or 2 doesn't bother me in the least knowing pc gear is protected...just finished a repair on my friends comp and testing this i found on the web

this might be the hog of all time

both are terrible. you shouldnt have to pay for antivirus in the first place. go with avast. if you want even more protection, go with malwarebytes and spybot S&D, too
best trio of programs you can use. never had a virus, and i download a LOT of shady stuff

I would go with Norton.
I had Kaspersky, but it would slow my computer down to a crawl, so I got rid of it.

run neither - here is a better anti-virus - run www.avast.com - FREE and has better detection rates and does not slow computer down
