Hello Ron, My name is Joe Teran and I am a member of the La Palma church. The ladies in the store were talking about the toy drive we had after Christmas in 2010, pictures can be viewed in our photo gallery http://lapalmaencristo.info/photos . That was the first toy drive we've had ever since I've been there and I have 10yrs at La Palma. I play a major role inside the church, I am the audio operator and lyrics operator during services. We are located at 184 Maria St. in San Benito, TX. Please note my name on this page just above the google map.
Many people know this church as Iglesia Bautista La Palma or La Palma Baptist Church in english. But now we go by Iglesia Bautista La Palma En Cristo or La Palma Baptist Church In Christ in english. Nothings really changed just add the "En Cristo" at the end.
This church has been spreading the news of God since the 1950's or earlier at the same location. I have photographic evidence of activity in 1954 but I still can't pin point the exact year. Due to information destoryed in a flood during hurricane Dolly. I am currently interviewing senior members for information. (((This is probably more then enough information)))
Thanks, Joe TeranSource(s): http://lapalmaencristo.info http://lapalmaencristo.info/about-us http://lapalmaencristo.info/photos http://lapalmaencristo.info/news http://lapalmaencristo.info/online-bible http://lapalmaencristo.info/sermons http://lapalmaencristo.info/requests http://lapalmaencristo.info/himnos http://lapalmaencristo.info/weblinks http://lapalmaencristo.info/contact-us

Yes I know where that is. It used to be my hometown. That place that you are referring to is between St. Theresa Catholic Church and Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall. It is located in the back of The San Benito High School. San Benito,Texas is 23 miles from the border of Mexico in South Texas.
