"Tell Me," no, really, do, perhaps in your answers?

Tell me which muscles you use

to raise your wings,

to hold your head squarely

on shoulders that carry

your burdens,

too great.

Tell me how you've trained

for the hard race at hand,

how you limber tight joints

and endure to the finish,

a victor for all.

Tell me how your focus

never waivers or fails,

how you see beauty around

a debris laden ground.

No, really,

tell me.

Mr. Goblin, you think THAT'S scary, you outta see my REAL face!

Now, this was a really good poem, Sue! My wing muslces only work on occasion - very rare ones and only weakly at best; my neck prevents me from moving my head around too much, hence, I appear to have more resolve than I do; my joints are now bone-rubbing-bone, so if I walk at more than a snail's pace, I consider it a race! I don't see the debris...because I'm too myopic to see anything clearly. I'm a mess, but such is Life...

I use my wings to keep things going. Geez i have been married for 40 years so I trained to just keep our lives together. Same thing on the focus. We all see death and sick folks around us but it cant take us down.I see new life the trees budding out and the flowers which i know they will be there when i dont see them. So what if death comes it won't be the end of the world because it will still go on. Sorry i'm long winded. Nice write and no you avatar isnt scary..

  • If I was an artist, I think I could show you how someone might. A few images come to mind.

    Just a simple thought...

There are times when we, as humans, must allow ourselves to be carried, even as we cross the finish line, and that is okay. Be good, stay strong and true, maintain Faith, and never take your eyes off of the Prize!

I had my wings removed when they took my halo,

The training and focus are as a result of my friend:

    (Dedication in Me)

Thinking of dedication that's free of fear or frustration in where we go and what we say, to lead us through an endless day. Can it be what we have? Or just the things that make us laugh. True dedication has to be GOD'S dedication found in me.
