Team Obama the border is secured calls security on US border with Mexico better than ever you believe them?
EL PASO, Texas - U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano said Thursday that security on the southern U.S. border "is better now than it ever has been" and that violence from neighboring Mexico hasn't spilled over in a serious way.
Napolitano spoke at the Bridge of The Americas border crossing, after a meeting with the mayors of the border towns of El Paso, Nogales, Ariz., and Yuma, Ariz. Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade Francisco Sanchez and U.S. Customs and Border Protection Commissioner Alan Bersin also were present.
Napolitano said the Department of Homeland Security will deploy 250 more border agents and expects to have 300 more under their next budget if it's approved. She stated that Homeland Security is investing "millions of dollars in the side of commerce and trade" to improve infrastructure and technology along the border.
I can tell you that the violence has already gotten here. Right now the town I live in is 85% hispanic. People are leaving right and left because its not safe in my city any more. The Illegals here out number the legals by about half.. I invite anyone who says there is no problem to come for a visit. But we the United States have allowed this to happen. We should have shut down the border long ago.. Now its too late .. the Hispanic population now runs almost all of Texas. The number of illegals on welfare and public assistance would astound you all. The birth rate among hispanic teenagers is the highest of any ethnic group. Some thing has to be done but I dont see a plan on what to do coming from the White House. We in the United States have made it a perfect place for them, In our grocery store most products have the labels in spanish.. ( Cheerios for example are in spanish) a lot of commercials on tv are in spanish ( ford, Chevy, etc etc ) the music in most stores in spanish.. sometimes you forget that this is actually the United States and NOT Mexico. If you want a job you MUST speak spanish. We have allowed this to happen as a country so now we will have to deal with the violence as a country !

The head of an organization that advocates for lower immigration says it’s absolutely outrageous that a report from the Government Accountability Office says more than half of the U.S. border with Mexico is unsecured. The GAO report found that only 44 percent of the border is operationally secure — and only 15 percent is considered airtight. In response to that report, Congressman Duncan D. Hunter (R-California) has introduced the Unlawful Border Entry Prevention Act, which would authorize an additional 350 miles of fencing along the border.
Roy Beck, founder and president of Numbers USA, says the GAO report is a sad testament. “Here we are, ten years after the 9/11 attacks and eight years of George Bush and now two years of Obama,” says Beck. “And they’ve only got 44 percent of our border secure? This is outrageous!”
Beck says this report refutes the claims of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.
“This GAO report is a bombshell. Janet Napolitano has been testifying before Congress saying we don’t need any extra stuff right now because basically the border is more secure than it’s ever been. That’s what she’s been testifying. Well, the GAO report puts a lie to that,” states the immigration group’s president.
To make the border situation more complex, recently the Department of Homeland Security revealed that illegal aliens from Islamic terrorist sponsoring countries were apprehended entering the United States from Mexico.

In fact the border is more secure than it ever has been. You can easily dispute whether that's good enough or not, but the statement itself is in fact true. and the overall numbers of estimated illegals in the US has dropped by a million over the past several years and the numbers of people caught and sent back along the southern border has dropped down. The sector with the largest number of illegals caught and returned is currently Tucson, at over 200,000 last year. So, it's not like CBP is exactly asleep at the switch in Arizona. However, you're probably right that it may well be too late to do much about long term demographic effects.

That's why you don't let the victims of a crime seek their own justice. These 3 democrats from AZ are victims. The fact of the matter is is that illegal immigration numbers are actually going down. This is because our economy is in a recession. If there were jobs here, they'd be coming here for them.
