doesn't taste the same as what??
a Fuji apple tree growing in your country will produce apples that taste different than a Fuji apple tree growing in my country.
Soil and climate all have an effect on produce and how it will taste after ripe.

Most fruit tastes bloody awful, because it is developed to travel well, look good and not go bad, ie. long shelf life, taste does`nt come into it. A few exceptions are kiwi fruit, bananas, grapes and English coxes and Egremont Russet apples, when they are in season.
