Curd Substitute - Greek Style or European Style Yoghurt?
Which is better to use as a substitute for curd in Indian recipes - greek style natural (unsweetened) yoghurt or european style natural (unsweetened) yoghurt?
I dont know the difference between the two but see them when i go shopping, to date i have used the European style undrained and it seems ok.

i would suggest European style. as greek is thicker and much more creamier. Good for raitas.Source(s): self

Greece is in Europe.
I would say go with the Greek, it's heavy and richer.
Other yogurts are pretty watery, even after draining.
