Why did Bret Harrison and Tyler Labine leave Reaper?

Question

I know Reaper got cancelled, but I also heard that ABC was going to the pick them up until Bret and Tyler said they wouldn't return for season 3. Does anyone know why?

Not sure. We loved Reaper though. I'm surprised Bret isn't in more stuff (Loved him in "The Loop" too). They keep trying to find a vehicle for Tyler. He's been on two shows in two years. I guess they left because they saw the show was not going to get picked up.
