Difference between Honda Navigation System SSD and HDD?
I'm trying to get more information about the navigation systems currently offered by Honda in Europe.
Currently there are two versions Honda Navigation System: SSD and HDD.
Anyone can tell me which of the two versions has voice control and where can I get more detailed information about the two versions?

Not sure about the voice control. Do you mean step by step (turn by turn) instructions? SSD stands for solid state drive. No moving parts. Similar to a usb thumb drive. HDD means Hard disk drive, similar to most computers with a spinning disk read magnetically. You will get faster response from SSD, as you don't need to wait for the disk to spin up to speed. Overall SSD is a better deal as it has no moving parts to wear out. HDD's are also prone to damage from abrupt hits, ie: accident, no matter the speed.Source(s): Computer geek
