Why is Rankine cycle efficiency more accurate than overall effciency for a steam turbine power plant?

What does that mean? Actually, steam cycles are highly idealized models.
True efficiency can only be calculated from input/output energy balances and are strongly affected by the stability of the load. If the load fluctuates, goodbye theory.
