drug paraphernalia charge in ohio?

my brother got a drug paraphernalia charge in portage county ohio for having a bowl in his house after the cops came in.

what can he expect legally ? should he get a lawyer ? what do you think min/max and likely sentences will be. first offense btw

    If convicted, the actual sentence is at the discretion of a judge however, the max he can receive is up to 30 days jail and up to a $750 fine. Likely to be significantly less than the max unless he has priors. He probably will want to consult with an attorney (free) especially if there are legal issues as to why the police were there or whether they were there with a warrant or invited in.

    in case you recommend fairfield county a guy i kno had paraphernalia and hes getting charged for worse then the weed he had from what i understand its worse then having about a ounce of weed and yet another guy i kno were given 2 felonies for a 5 mg percocet he had for his damaged jaw because it wasnt in the bottle
