    because it grows and grows over time by people add to it and amending it and most importantly it meets the needs of the generation

In this country, we usually think specifically of the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution, which states the following: "We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

    Popular sovereignty or the sovereignty of the people is the belief that the legitimacy of the state is created by the will or consent of its people, who are the source of all political power. It is closely associated to the social contract philosophers, among whom are Thomas Hobbes, John Locke and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Popular sovereignty expresses a concept and does not necessarily reflect or describe a political reality.[1] It is often contrasted with the concept of parliamentary sovereignty, and with individual sovereignty.

    After the revolutionary war, the persons of the U.S. Needed to create a brand new style of government for the country. They wrote the Articles of Confederation, a group of laws the place the majority of power used to be rested in the states. The Articles of Confederation did not work out so well, so the "founding fathers" determined to get together in Philadelphia and write a brand new govt. And that's why the constitution used to be shaped.
