1 package active dry yeast
2 1/2 cups warm water
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons salt
2 tablespoons veg. oil
6 to 6 1/4 cups flour
In a large mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the sugar, salt, oil and 3 cups flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
Turn onto a floured surface: knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover: let rise in a warm place until doubled in size. About 1 1/2 hours. Punch dough down. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; divide dough in half. Pinch off rolls and place in greased pan. Cover and let rise again until doubled. The other half of dough you can put in a bread pan and let rise for a loaf of bread or make another pan of rolls.
When doubled bake at 375* for 17 to 18 minutes until golden brown. Or a loaf bake 30 to 35 minutes.
If you have a bread machine place these ingredients in in this order
1 1/4 cups +1 tablespoon water
1/4 cup veg. oil
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons salt
4 cups flour
1 package dry yeast
Put on dough setting. When done pinch off rolls and place in a greased pan. Let double in size and then bake at 375 for 17 to 18 minutes.
