Why is it Obama doesn't do well during a crisis?

We are 10 days into the unrest in Libya and now the White House says he's planning calls to British Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Nicholas Sarkozy to discuss possible moves to compel Moammar Gadhafi's government to end violence against anti-government protestors.

Shouldn't this have been done 8 or 9 days ago? Why is it that he doesn't do well during a crisis?

He doesn't think very well on his feet and for all of his supposed education and brainpower, he simply doesn't have the ability to feel and react effectively during unusual occurrences. He likes to orchestrate everything and gets testy when his plan is affected by others. That is because it's all about Obama and he lacks the ability to do several things at once. He thought the job would be easier than it is but, that is his problem and ultimately, ours.

Since Obama isnt used to doing anything (other than campaigning, community organizing, fundraising, redistributing wealth, lecturing on Alinksy method, fighting for planned parenthood, and hob-knobbing with communists and liberals) As a result, these foreign policy decisions are something he is out of his league on. So he needs days and weeks in order to talk to all his people in order to come up with the safest way to vote "present."

Every decision to him that does not involve his areas of non-expertise turn into the cuban missle crisis for him and his advisers.

He and the Wisconsin democrats are the same when the situation gets tough, the cowards run away.

He has a tendency to be too deliberative and over think things. This is contrasted with Bush who went with his gut and shot from the hip on pretty much everything. The proper level of deliberation is probably somewhere in the middle.

Perhaps because Libya is a soverign foreign nation and neither Obama, nor Cameron, nor Sarkozy, can make any decision regarding it.

Yes, it's a crisis, IN LIBYA.

Why do conservatives think we have to stick our nose in every single thing that happens in the middle east? Let them figure it out for themselves!

And besides, how are we going to pay for whatever it is they decide to do...more tax cuts for the rich? LOL

If you think you are so knowledgeable about how Obama should do his job then why don't you run for president a** hole? I bet the job is a lot harder and complex than you can imagine. Cut the guy some god damn slack! I'm not a democrat, but Obama is not doing a horrible job. He is doing WAY better than bush did and he's WAY smarter than bush so shut the hell up or do something about it instead of just rant on a forum.

his lack of experience shows. so much of what's going on RIGHT NOW is way over a community organizers head. this is way tough on the job training. i mean his whole state department is a joke. all he wants or cares about is bullet trains, green energy, and health care, whatever those things are. he's a really smart guy but not qualified for this job.

in all fairness, what's going on right now would be difficult for anybody but our fearless leader is sadly lacking and it really shows.

No, he should not intervene with dictators. Unless you have been under a rock for the past 8 years, we lost 500 billion dollars with these affairs.

He has been too busy trying to clean up his own backyard from the mess Bush left behind to worry about the neighbors.
