Confused about clothing sizes?

I know that after 3T comes 4T ~ but I was looking at dresses in a consignment store today and they had dresses that are a size 4/5. How big is a 4/5, and does it come after 4T? It looked like it was the same length as some other 4T dresses, but it looked bigger?

So toddler clothes go to a 5T and then after a 5T it goes into big kid clothes which a 4/5 is an XS. Hope this helps.

a 4/5 is an XS and comes after 5T and the age does matter because i have and 3 year old and he wears 7/8 in boys and my daughter is 18 months and wears 3T and 4T.

It means it could fit a 4 or 5 year old... So if they fit 4T or 5, then the dress would probably fit!
