Very realistic fiction about Australian teens facing several tense, dramatic, life and death situations set in many parts of Australia, plus England and California.     James Pattersons Alex Cross series never fails to please and there are about 12/13 books in that series

    I have heard his Womens Murder club series is good too

    Stieg Larssons Millenium trilogy is a must read

    American Psycho

  • first of I just want to say that I have read both the Vampire Academy and the Mortal Instruments and I thought that they were the best! ummm some good books are:

    -Gone by Michael Grant (not really like the VA and MI but it is still really good + it is in a series)

    -Kisses from Hell by Kristin Cast, Richelle Mead, Kelley Armstrong, Alyson Noel, Francesca Lia Block (I just read the part by Richelle Mead and its before Lissa is born. Its cool.)

    -Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling (if you haven't yet, give it a try!!!!)

    I've read more but I just cant think but I hope this help!
