What is your favorite major album from the year 1967?

1967 produced some of my top favorite albums of all time. Each is very unusual and inventive.

A list:

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles

The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn by Pink Floyd

The Doors (eponymous)

The Velvet Underground and Nico by The Velvet Underground

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane

The Who Sell Out by The Who

Are You Experienced by The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Their Satanic Majesties Request by The Rolling Stones

Disraeli Gears by Cream

There are many other really good albums from this year, so if there are any others not listed you really like as well don't be afraid to shout them out. Many of these artists had other albums from the same year which were also very good (i.e. The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles)

    3. Jimi Hendrix: Are You Experienced?

    4. Love: Forever Changes

    5. Moby Grape: Moby Grape

    6. The Byrds: Younger Than Yesterday

    7. The Rolling Stones: Between the Buttons

    8. The Kinks: Something Else

    9. Miles Davis: Nefertiti

I would be willing to argue that 1967 was the most fertile year for popular music in America and England ever, not just in rock, but in most genres of music. The runner up is 1966.
