Well, the fashion industry thinks otherwise and she has the millions of dollars to prove it. She actually made the look of strong African features, deep chocolate skin, and short natural hair very popular and sought after in the industry and ever since she came on the scene there have been a flood of Alek lookalikes used in magazines, fashion shows and ads. In fact, I saw one in a Bloomingdales ad in the newspaper this morning, and I stared at it for a while thinking how gorgeous she was and how great it is that her look is now considered high fashion instead of the way it was before Alek, when the only successful black models had to basically look like white girls spray painted brown. Alek helped show both white and black America how beautiful African features are and that we don't have to be brainwashed into thinking there is only one standard of beauty. So, why don't you shut up or post your pic so we can tell you what you look like an amalgamation of?
