# Factors Problem Help?

Need to finish this for homework, there is a number for example 12 and the factors for it are, 1x12, 2x6 and 3x4. The number of factors is 6, the simplest factors is 2x2x3, number of first factor is 2 and second factor is 1. If anyone can help can they get all the answers for 36, 100, 196, 225, 48, 80, 112, 162, 432, 648, 2000, 5000. Help if you can!

36 = 6 * 6 = 2 * 3 * 2 * 3 = 2 * 2 * 3 * 3

Then you can do all the permutations of this based on this. For instance, this can be 2 * (2 * 3 * 3) = 2 * 18, it can be (2 * 2) * (3 * 3) = 4 * 9, and so on. Basically, just go for the prime factorization of the integer, and go from there.

100 = 2 * 50 = 2 * 2 * 25 = 2 * 2 * 5 * 5

196 = 2 * 98 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 49 = 2 * 2 * 2 * 7 * 7

225 = 5 * 45 = 5 * 5 * 3 * 3 = 3 * 3 * 5 * 5

And so on.
