    South East Asia.

Sunda archipelago separating Pacific Ocean (to east) from Indian Ocean (to west),with other minor archipelagos and islands make up Indonesia. Sunda archipelago is a chain of very big islands Sumatra & Java, the chain continuing as Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa, Flores and ending in Timor. Another big isolated island 'Borneo' (Indonesians call it as 'Kalimantan') in north with Philippines archipelago (another country) to its east and Malaya peninsula to its west. The largest of them all, New Guinea (2nd largest after Greenland; 180,000 square miles) is in the extreme east, with its eastern half a separatete country (Papua New Guinea).
