Ground wire for light switch?

i am replacing light switches. the ground that comes from the wall should this be attached to the green ground screw on the light switch or directly to the box?

    Both. Attach the wire to the box and leave a couple inches of the wire to attach it to the outlet. Make a loop 2 in. back from the end and attach it to the box, only needed if its a metal box. After doing that then attach it to the green screw on the outlet.

    Preferably the box. As long as the switch is attached to the box with metal screws then the switch is grounded too.

    You are right...Either way....Unless you are using plastic boxes....If so...Ground should be connected to the green terminal on the switch...
