When did Bethlehem Steel close and why?

Bethlehem was a very successful buisness. I'm just wondering about why it closed after being so successful.

Outsourcing.

Labour elsewhere was cheaper.

There are fewer environmental/health codes in other parts of the planet.

Bethlehem Steel's owners wanted to remain competitive at the cost of former employees as well as new ones who wouldn't have unions nor health regulations (not to mention insurance coverage).
