Can the PS3's Cell Brodband Engine handle graphics processing ? If yes how ( read below ) ?

How can the Cell do graphics processing when the Cell has a ridiculously low pixel and texture fillrate (like any other CPU, with no ROPs/TMUs) ??? Cause I've heard a lot of people saying that Nauhty Dog shifted a lot of the graphcis processing onto the SPU's of the Cell but I doubt that graphics processing it's more like post processing since the SPE's are very good at post processing. Can the Cell handle graphics processing, if yes how ???

    From what I understand, it handles a lot of the earlier graphics functions, like generating the wire mesh structures and calculating light source angles, leaving the color filling to the GPU.
