I think Lois Lowry did a good job. Lowry did a good job of really expressing Jonas' feelings and thoughts. Although, I do agree where she cut it off was disappointing. I thought that the book itself was interesting, and confusing. I was sort of satisfied because we can assume that Jonas found "Elsewhere" with Gabe, but not with the length. I mean, she made it only 180 pages, and she could've made a better conclusion. She should've included how Jonas and Gabe made off in the new community. I'm sure many people feel this way about this book- that itself was well thought out, but incomplete.
I am reading the second one (Gathering Blue) because of school, and it has nothing to do with 'The Giver'.
I read the book.
Don't I sound smart!?!?!?!?!?
