Galaxy S as this has expandable memory while the Nexus S doesn't. Also the Galaxy S allows you to record in 720p while Nexus S only allows you to record in 480p. Also a lot of people have reported that their Nexus S shuts off when they are talking to people on the phone for more than 3 mins. The Galaxy S has more video and audio codec/format support. The only main advantage of the Nexus S is that it's faster and has 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box running on stock Android (which means quicker updates when available) and has NFC and has flash on the camera.

Galaxy S (Vibrant) from T-Mobile specs:

    Nexus S from T-Mobile specs:

    The big differences.

The Nexus has Android 2.3, Vibrant has 2.1. I would be shocked if an update for the Vibrant wasn't on the way. Very few devices have 2.3 out of the box.

The Nexus has NO secondary storage slot, so you cannot add a microSD card to the phone to increase storage. Apparently, Samsung thought the 16 GB built-in would be enough. The Vibrant has an SD slot, so you can increase storage to 32 GB. The Vibrant comes with 16 GB internal and a 2 GB SD card.

The Nexus has a second camera. The Vibrant does not.
