Is a swirl a fractal?

OR WHAT about this one if i traced it...but without the detailss

    No. The detail is what makes it a fractal. The first image has no repeating or continuing pattern. The second image has both. If you were to trace it without detail it would have a continuous pattern (can zoom in forever), but not repeating (there would only be one swirl pattern, notice the detail is swirl added on swirl added on swirl...). It needs both continuation and repetition.

    For ease, I suggest the Sierpinski Triangle.
