how do I put clean vector images onto facebook?

I designed a vector graphic for my facebook profile picture, but every time I put it up it looks super "lossy" and just plain terrible. Is there a way to put an illustration cleanly and professionally onto facebook? maybe a format I didn't think of?

there's 8 different colors involved if that's relative.

I don't think facebook supports any vector format. Try converting to jpg, png or gif before you upload.
