It is not possible to track when an artist first "sang" a song; however, release dates can be tracked.
In the U.S., the song "Change the World," written by Tommy Sims, Gordon Kennedy and Wayne Kirkpatrick, was FIRST RELEASED BY WYNONNA JUDD as an album cut for her album "Revelations," released in FEBRUARY, 1996. She did not release the song as a single (1996 CD Curb-020; 1996 CS Curb Records MCAC-1090; 1996 CD MCA 11090).
The NEXT RELEASES were in JULY, 1996 by ERIC CLAPTON for (1) the soundtrack album from the 1996 film "Phenomenon" (1996 CS/CD Warner Bros.-46360) and (2) the single, "Change The World" (Single Warner Bros / Wea). "Phenomenon's" title song "Change The World" was a huge hit for Eric Clapton.
