# Straight line equation and parallel line.?

Find the equation of the straight line which passes through (4, -2)
and is parallel to the line with the equation 2x - 3y
How do you get this answer 2x-3y = 14 because I know you can get his answer as well 3y= 2x-14. Thoigh I specificaly want this answer 2x-3y = 14.
Though would both be correct anyway?

Update:
y + 2 = 2/3 x - 8/3 Multiply 3 on both sides

3(y + 2) = 3( 2/3x - 8/3)

3y+6 = 2x-8

I don't get why you have to multiply by 3 can't you just leave the answer as a fraction?
