Mexico calls Americans 'Xenophobic, supremacist' why is Mexico declaring a civil war?

Mexico City

Immigrant rights groups are voicing strong opposition to legislation being proposed in several US states to deny citizenship to American-born children of illegal immigrants. In the latest salvo of a hehttp://www.csmonitor.com/World/Americas/2011/0105/... immigration debate, Rep. Daryle Metcalfe (R) of Pennsylvania said Wednesday that state legislators will introduce bills to eliminate automatic “birthright citizenship.” He was backed by local lawmakers from Oklahoma, Kansas, South Carolina, Georgia, and Arizona, but the group says legislators from a majority of US states are joining the effort.

Latino organizations in the US and activists in Mexico immediately responded, saying the measure would not prevent illegal immigration, but only create a permanent underclass of workers with no civil rights.“You’d end up creating a two-caste system in the United States of citizens and noncitizens, [the latter of whom] would be easily exploitable,” says Brent Wilkes, national executive director of the League of United Latin American Citizens in Washington. “It would be like old Europe or India, where you’re born into a family that determines what your caste is.”

'Xenophobic, supremacist' campaign

In Mexico, immigrant rights activist and former federal lawmaker José Jacques Medina urged legislators Wednesday to draft a Congressional statement against the “xenophobic, supremacist” campaign to reverse birthright citizenship.

Rights groups are also planning a demonstration in front of the US Embassy in Mexico City later this month to protest anticitizenship efforts along with other immigration issues.

Meanwhile, the Mexican Embassy in Washington and its consular network will be monitoring the issue “very closely and very carefully,” said Embassy spokesman Ricardo Alday.

local politicians have no say in who is or is not an American citizen. that's established under the US constitution. lots of folks don't like the interpretation of the 14th amendment to grant citizenship to foreigners born in the US, but there's nothing remotely new about that interpretation. The Supreme Court has been consistent in their rulings on this since the 19th century. now if these politicians feel strongly enough about the issue, they can try to put together a constitutional amendment to change the constitution, as they can on any other issue.

The Mexicans, and the Mexican Nationals are very fond of making extended statements without supporting them. There won't be a two tier citizenship because the primary draw of the illegal aliens is welfare far more than jobs. As Mexico is forced to deal with their population, they will either deal with them or slip down ward in the third world status. I think they will deal with them, and they will wind up doing well in a society that is not corrupt.

Mexico does not grant citizenship to illegals in their country and they treat other illegals much worse than US does. Their own country has let them down and has always treated working or poor Mexicans as peasants. They should protest and critize down there not the US. I don't feel they or any other has a right to enter our country illegally.

Funny that Mexico doesn't consider itself "xenophobic" for the way it treats illegal Central American migrants.

If we are able to turn again the clock back to the early nineteenth Century, then probably we must have taken over Mexico. It would were higher for them within the long rune. They'd have a greater government with assessments and balances, better regulation enforcement, and migration would no longer be a quandary. Plus, the U.S.’s assets would had been elevated dramatically that we more commonly do a greater in managing it significantly better. There can be higher water and sewage cure plants by way of the twentieth Century. And if Mexico did turn out to be a part of the us then there would be and equal migration from the north inflicting an intermingling of cultures and blood. Photograph touring from NY city to Mexico metropolis with the aid of vehicle and nonetheless be in the same nation. That would be very fun for americans who love to journey. However conquering Mexico at present can be nearly inconceivable unless we do away with the whole Mexican population and replace it with our possess. That may be genocide and that's quite simply improper.

That's their problem. They have absolutely no say in our government or our laws. They are not US citizens. As such, they are kindly invited to stay in Mexico. Problem solved.

The government is dishonest, hypocritical and corrupt.

We should have the same immigration laws as they do.
