Pros and cons of Scottish Terriers?
BQ: Are they easy to train.

They're really intelligent (they are terriers, after all), but may be a bit stubborn, and trainability will depend on the individual. The ones I've met have been really fun-loving and quirky, and are extremely energetic and driven. They're not really lap dogs, or extremely snuggly like some other dogs (although there are individuals who are). They're happiest when they get a lot of exercise and have something to keep their minds busy, whether by training, interactive toys, or terrier-specific activities.
That being said, if you want an uber-snuggly, laid-back, couch potato, this isn't it. If you want an active, intelligent, driven companion a Scottie may be the right fit.Source(s): Have met Scotties in rescue, and my parents and some relatives have Scotties.
