where do you go to take a state civil service test ?
im looking to find out how to take a civil service test for my home state ... i live in new york and im looking to take a civil service test to apply for state jobs such as : thruway tolls , state offices , town halls , emergency dispatcher , etc....

Check out the link below. As part of your application, you're given test location choices. After you've sent in your application for whatever job title, you'll receive a notice as to where that particular test will be given. Make sure you send your application asap, or by the postmarked date,
Also check out NYS's Judicial website. Increase your options, and apply for any job titles you may qualify for.
Re Judicial or any civil service job-try not to go in as an Appointee (no test, just your resume). If there are layoffs, Appointees are usually the first to go.
