Stolen profile photo on Facebook?

Hey, I have problem. He or she stole my profile photo and with that photo created new account . That account makes rude and violent comments about ather people. People thinks it's me! Soo what I can do apart to report this to the Facebook administration?

Maybe I can ask to ban his or her ip?

Or do sth with law to pay for this?

They stole intellectual property!! WHat I can do?

Scene you put the photos on the internet, it makes them public. People can do what they wish with them. Download and save them. Or whatever. It becomes a law matter when they do steal your identity and start slandering you. But you have to figure, there are 2 million facebook users. Facebook administration cant handle multiple situations like this because they happen several hundreds of times a day. Best bet is to just hope He/She gets bored with it and just gives up. Sorry to say but there isn't much you can do about this or expect many results.

when nobody can enlarge, who can really steal your photo 100% size. they can only steal about 50% size at most. when profile photo is smaller, ppl already know they pretend others.

The image is yours and you can ask Facebook to have it taken down from the other pages. Images on the internet are not public property unless specifically stated.

because you really dont know which friend may really go steal photos

only me is the only method to avoid people see and steal your photos.

the loser can only use your photo, they can never get the same URL name as yours. if your friends think that it's you, tell them what is the URL on facebook.

report her profile photo, upload your government-issued ID (your ID copy) to facebook staff, to remove anyone that use your photos

to remove your own photos that others used, give facebook ID copy, prove that it's you, or else, they would not show you anything.

to remove stolen photos ppl steal yours, your ID copy is the only thing facebook staff would remove others' [your photo]

not really "no method". it's write to abuse@facebook.com then show your Govt-ID card copy to facebook staff when they ask you. to remove your photo that others used, yes ID card copy is the only evidence facebook staff would really accept.

Something you upload to a public space can't be stolen from you, it's not intellectual property.

If you lose your job because of it, then it's Libel, until then no one in the real world cares. Have any proof of damages?

Source(s): If anything it belongs to Facebook, not you. Report it though, that is within your rights. Making fun of you is not a crime.
