What happens if i put a good graphics card and power supply into a shitty computor?

What happens if i put a Geforce 9800 gtx+ and a 500w power supply into a shitty 2005 windows xp? Will it crash alot? or fry the motherboard?

    The computer will run fine, if the parts are compatible with the motherboard that is. If the motherboard is older, it might not have a PCI-E slot (I think that's what the 9800 uses, but I know it does NOT use ACP) so it wouldn't pick up the card.

    Just check the motherboard Manuel and see if it support 500w power supply ( it should )

    and yes u can put ur Geforce 9800 gtx+ and a 500w power supply

    Assuming everything is compatible (PCIe was still very young in 2005 and a lot of computers still had AGP), then it should work, but don't expect to see awesome performance.
