Depends what you want to say about Iowa.

The state flag is red, white, and blue. Green is often associated with Iowa because of farming, as is yellow (the color of corn). The prairies turn from green to brown as the year goes on, so there's some color there too.

Black and gold are often used for Iowa because of the Iowa Hawkeyes, but Iowa State Cyclones would prefer red and gold.

Politically, we waffle between being a red and a blue state, but even our same-sex married couples probably don't think there's anything purple about Iowa.
