Which of my CD's should I let her borrow?

I have a friend who says that she's never really explored music, but that she would like to (If you're a contact of mine, you know how much I love music - 3865 songs and 178 different genres). She asked me if she could borrow some of my CD's and told me to pick them out myself. I have so many CD's I don't know which ones I should let her borrow. Keep in mind I have many more digitial copies of songs than I do of phsyical copies and this is not my entire collection of albums; I omitted a few because they're way too obscure collections, are not-so-great film soundtracks or are by bands that never even got miniscule success. Narrow down the list of the ones I should let her borrow (not all at one time of course, but over the next month).

Give her what you think is the best CD out of some genres she's might already heard before, and some that she might not be so familiar with. I would suggest -

    AC/DC - Black Ice

Alice Cooper - School's Out and Other Hits

Beatles - The White Album (You've gotta make sure she listens to this)

The Clash - Story of The Clash

The Doors - The Future Starts Here

Jimi Hendrix Experience - Valleys of Neptune

The Kinks - Come Dancing With THe Kinks

Guns n' Roses - Appetite For Destruction (Definetly give this one to her)

    Nirvana - Nevermind

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication

The Stray Cats - Greatest Hits

    The Who - Quadrophenia

Again, go with the hits, because most likely, she's heard some of these songs before and will be more interested in exploring more music if she knows she's heard some of it before. Sorry if I put too many CD's down. You can decide what you think would be best, too. You could give her the Now That's What I Call Classic Rock CD too, because I bet she'd be more familiar with some of the hits on there, too. Good Luck!

Source(s): I've done the same thing with my friend, except I put a bunch of hits on a CD that holds 20 songs and I gave her 40 songs in all, and let her decide what her favorite bands were by that, and then let her borrow some of my CD's. You could do it that way, too, if you wanted to.

Nope. Considering you own the cd that is. If not your looking at charges for ripping a stolen cd to your iPod and plus letting someone else borrow it.
