It's exciting. The brewers pitching has been in the bottom of the Mlb for a long time, minus CC's half season. Hitting was good this past season. The number one problem was pitching. Greinke is a huge improvement to the rotation. Brewers get a pitcher in Greike who will pitch far better than what they had which was inconsistencies, era's of high 4's and 5's. This is great for the Crew, with Yovani and even Marcum this could be what makes them contenders. Look at Braun, McGehee, Fielder, and Hart powering the bats the Brewers are a far more complete team. Pitching was the missing key.
No it's not Lee, Halladay or CC but Greinke is a great piece to put the Brewers in contention. It's the pitching that has been the biggest hurdle by far.
Escobar and Cain can be replaced, this is a move the Brewers had to take to fight. This is news that has fans thrilled, a light we haven't seen for a while.
Brewers and Greinke are a good fit as well. He will be able to do his job and not be thrown under high pressure media either.
