The Southern Confederate Flag?

When the southern states were flying the Confederate flag back in the 1900s what flag were they flying? The Confederate Flag? The Confederate Battle Flag? or The flag that the KKK took?

    The battle flag is really the only one that is readily identifiable by most people, so that's the one that has created the most controversy and that we have the most information about. The battle flag was flown over the capitol dome in South Carolina until 2000, and it is still displayed on the grounds. We know that the battle flag was used there, so it is probably safe to assume that other states flew the battle flag. I'm sure some states used other flags too though.
